Finally! A new post!!!

We'll a long time ago...(February 7 to be exact) Halie had a photoshoot with J Olson Photography. I decided I am going to do a photo shoot for my kids every year on their birthday (if possible :) ) or soon afterwards! I think its a great way to capture their individual personality and interests each year! Plus I am what they call picture anal. Meaning that I have my kids' pictures taken a lot and my walls are covered in pictures of them rather than art. I must say I do love art too, I just don't have enough wall space for that. I must need a bigger house already. But anyways that's another blog... The shoot was way easier than taking her to any photo place I have ever been including Sears, Walmart, and the Picture People. The one on one shoot lasted 50 painless minutes and didn't pressure Halie at all. It allowed her "natural" beauty and "real" personality to shine. Thanks to Jenn I have some amazing pictures of Halie to look back on and remember exactly how she looked/smiled/behaved/etc... So here goes....Some of my favorites!

Looks like something bad happened.....

Poor Olivia. I was updating my blog earlier, so I distracted her with some paper and a brown marker. Well unbeknownst to me, she was coloring her hands instead of the paper. When I took the marker from her, she began to cry and fell to the floor whining and hollering. When she stood up this is what I saw....it looked like dried blood was smeared down her face and somebody punched her in the mouth a couple times. Ouch! Too funny...when I let Olivia look at herself in the mirror this is the face she made...

First bike ride of the year!!

Halie got a new Disney Princess bike for her birthday, and last week she got to take it on a test drive with Daddy and Olivia! She had a smile from ear to ear the whole day! Every morning when I am trying to load the girls in the van to head to work, I always find Halie on the bike! I'm going to have to hide it better because I am always in a hurry in the morning and it takes several minutes to convince her to get off the bike and buckle up! Do you blame her? And on a funny note, Olivia cannot reach the pedals quite yet, so she uses the Flintstones method! Amazingly she can go pretty fast!!

Yes, I know her party was a long time ago....(February 9th) but I am just now getting around to transfering the photos on to my computer. SORRY HALIE! So anyways, we had her party at the gym (of course!). Halie had a blast and was able to have tons of her bestest friends there! Here are some pictures.....

So my little baby is turning FOUR tomorrow...

I just can't believe my little Halie is turning four years old tomorrow! Where has time gone? I don't even feel old enough to have a four year old!! (if that makes any sense?). Just one year away from going to Kindergarten. WOW! It still feels like yesterday when she was born. Halie was born on Friday, February 7, 2004 at 12:40 p.m. She weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz. and was 19 inches long. In August of last year, she weighed in at 41 lbs. and 39 1/2 inches. What a difference four years makes huh? Either that or she just eats really good!

A lot has happened in her four years here on earth. Let's see....We've moved 5 times, including a big move to Port Orchard, WA. She has seen Santa four times, she was a ladybug, a lamb, a rabbit, and a fairy (well, for Halloween anyways...), been to the dentist twice, doctor a lot (for shots, & two ear infections), and hospitalized for 2 days this past December with Croup. She became a sister when she was 2. She joined gymnastics and preschool when she was 2 1/2. She was the flower girl in my wedding when she was almost 3, which is when she had her first dance with a boy! She continues to go to preschool, and is in a gymnastics group aimed at preparing her for competitive gymnastics by the age of 6, and she started clogging in Sept of last year. And this March she is preparing to join beginning soccer. What a busy little girl!!! She loves being involved in activities and it sure seems to help with her behavior. (I feel like we are still going through the terrible two's :) )

On a sappy note....I can't imagine my life without this girl. She has quite the personality. I say its a mix of diva, anger, & stubbornness. But she has these big brown eyes that just pierce my heart all the time. I have spent so many wonderful times with her and I can't wait to see what the future has in store for her. She is so talented. Lately I have been so impressed with her desire to "color in the lines" and how wells she can write her name (It's even legible, believe it or not!)

So for her birthday tomorrow, we are going to do photo shoot with our favorite photographer, Jenn Olson. I am way excited, and Halie seems to be pretty pumped up about it too. So I will be posting pics from the shoot sometime in the next couple weeks. Halie will be having a party with her friends on Saturday at the gym! What a spoiled little girl! Happy 4th Birthday Halie Saige!
